您覺得不把抗生素加在飼料裡會是必然趨勢嗎

以對自己產品(毛豬�豬肉)負責任的態度,適症,適藥,適量,適時的選用及停用合法登記的抗菌劑產品(知而後行).養豬講求效益,不需一味排拒,亦不可濫用(台灣的養豬農友應早已從不知而行升級經年了吧)........................

改變畜舍的規劃和管理

這樣確實有效 ∼ 藥物越用越少 ∼ 豬也越死越少 ∼

養豬...應該以提供健康的肉品    為最後的指標...
之前所有的動作   都應該為了這個指標   做努力...

預防重於治療,有病治病沒病強身,這樣大家都知,不然藥場如何生存,只不過有人頭殼發珠,把預防量搞成加味素,結果抗藥了,豬病跟人病都快共存亡了,正確用藥不只省荷包,還有自己及家人的健康。:070

EU experts evaluate antibiotic resistance of MRSA

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC) and the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) have published a joint Scientific Report on meticillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in livestock, pets and foods.
Following a request from the European Commission, EFSA’s Panel on Biological Hazards and ECDC concluded that food-producing animals such as pigs, veal calves and broiler chickens often carry without symptoms a specific strain of MRSA called CC398.

However, while food may be contaminated by MRSA there is currently no evidence that eating or handling contaminated food can lead to an increased health risk for humans. The report also noted that people in contact with live animals that carry the CC398 strain of MRSA could be at risk of infection. This specific strain of MRSA has been associated, albeit rarely, with serious skin and soft tissue infections, pneumonia and blood poisoning in humans.

Pet animals can also be infected with MRSA, where the bacteria first pass from humans to pets and then back to humans. The document noted the importance of basic hygiene measures, especially hand washing before and after contact with animals, and if possible, avoiding direct contact with nasal secretions, saliva and wounds.

Control measures
The report concluded that as animal movement and contact between live animals and humans are likely to be important factors in the transmission of MRSA, the most effective control measures will be at farm level.

In a parallel review, the European Medicines Agency looked at the risk of colonisation or infection of livestock and companion animals with MRSA in the context of the authorisation and the use of antimicrobial veterinary medicines. The Committee for Medicinal Products for Veterinary Use (CVMP) found that MRSA is resistant to virtually all antibiotics from the beta-lactam group, and very often also to other antimicrobials. Prudent use of antimicrobials in animals should remain a key measure and the CVMP recommended monitoring of animal consumption of antimicrobials to identify any sources of unnecessary use. The Committee also recommended that medicines of last resort for MRSA treatment in humans should be avoided in animals, so as to ensure their continued efficacy in humans.

MRSA infections are widespread in hospitals in many EU Member States and are a major cause of hospital-acquired infections which can lead to severe illness and in some cases fatalities. In recent years a link has also been established between MRSA in animals and human MRSA infections. In the areas of the EU where MRSA is found amongst food producing animals, people in contact with these animals, such as farmers, veterinarians and their families, are at risk of acquiring an MRSA infection. Given the severity of some MRSA infection, ECDC is supportive of measures to ensure prudent use of antibiotics in food producing animals. Through the European Antibiotic Awareness Day initiative, ECDC is actively engaged in initiatives to raise awareness about the risks associated with inappropriate use of antibiotics and how to use antibiotics responsibly.

Reducing the use of antimicrobials

The use of a vaccination can significantly reduce the use of antimicrobials in pig farming.
Recent studies show that even with a reduction of antimicrobial use, pigs can grow faster and more consistently when compared to that of control groups.
In the past few years, the political stance of antimicrobial use in agriculture has changed. Despite the fact that antibiotics are a valuable tool for fighting acute diseases, there is an increasing presence of consumer groups on the Internet and other open sources which question the way in which food producing animals are kept and raised. Meaning, nsumers want food produced without antibiotics. In Europe, the results of the ban on antimicrobial
growth promoters (AGP) showed a drastic reduction in the overall tonnage of preventive antimicrobials, but also a massive shift to more therapeutic uses of antimicrobials especially against enteric diseases.
Since then, an increase in overall antibiotic usage has been reported in Europe. Besides the environmental improvements in animal farming, a vaccination may be best for the reduction of the total antibiotic use in pork production. Taking a widespread enteric
disease like ileitis into account, the effect of the vaccination Enterisol® Ileitis (by Boehringer Ingelheim; Enterisol® Ileitis 是百靈佳殷格翰動物保健公司研發之全球專利之豬迴腸炎口服疫苗 ) for example, on the use of antimicrobials is reviewed. The company did several field trials all around the world to test the effect in different climates.

A field experience came from a 1,600 sow and 10,000 finisher, farrowto-finish farm in Germany. The 30,000 animals included were divided in 32 batches of antibiotic treated control groups and 27 batches of vaccinated animals.
This resulted in a 53% reduction of antibiotics used in the vaccinated animals compared to the non-vaccinated animals. The producer emphasised that an improved level of control in pig production is seen since the vaccination.
These studies demonstrated that producers may have the option of eliminating finishing dietary antimicrobial use while reducing input costs and maintaining performance similar to or better than continuously medicated, non-vaccinated pigs. An overall reduction of 35 to 100% of in-feed antibiotics was realised. As restrictions on antimicrobial use continue to increase, pork producers will need more options for controlling diseases. A vaccination
proves to be biologically feasible, environmentally responsible and an economically
attractive alternative to continuous feeding of antimicrobials.

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration announced Monday that it would seek to ban many routine uses of antibiotics in farm animals in hopes of reducing the spread of dangerous bacteria in humans.

不過前一段時間有機會和一些美國的養豬農民談起這件事,你猜他們怎麼說?"那些制定相關辦法的人不知道現場狀況".聽起來熟不熟悉啊?
不僅是天下的媽媽都是一樣的.天下的官員(民之所欲,常在我心--民主國家,大多數民意所向,是施政的主要依歸)及農民都是一樣的吧!

老實講有很多ㄉ大場可能都是因為長期加藥ㄉ關係,如果在哺乳豬開始以正確之飼養管理來取代可能會更加提升育成率,外加生技產品可能會更好。
